As far as I am concerned, Vampire Weekend might be one of the most enjoyable bands. Your first listen will go like this: Wow. This sounds like The Beach Boys, Paul Simon (Rhythm of the Saints era), and about 10-200 different bands. Second listen: Did they really put together those instruments? Third listen: Where did this music come from? In other words, it's like saying a Rothko painting is only two colors, you're wrong. Pandora won't play Vampire Weekend, so my first listen will have to be at your house when we are down there this weekend. Maybe we can go to a dark corner of your house and have our minds blown.
