We are thinking of you every step of the way! I am sure you are having one of the best adventures ever. I would love to see your faces when you pull up to your new pad, what a blast that would be. Now don't you dare fall asleep at the wheel, you pull over the minute you start to drift. I know a random thought, but I had to throw in some motherly advice. We love you guys, and can not wait to see photos of the whole ordeal....

I wasn't think of you every step of the way. I figured you would be in the moving truck most of the time, so there wouldn't be that many steps involved.

"Every step of the way" is not a literal phrase Pat. What Natalie was saying is that she was thinking about us a lot as we traveled a long distance from Utah to New York. I think the phrase's origin is when Brigham Young began sending people to Utah by foot or covered wagon where every step could be counted. That way people back in Nauvoo or Winter Quarters could literally think about them every step of the way. IT has now taken on a less literal meaning with the invention of cars and bicycles. If you have any more questions you should first ask Wikipedia. But thank you for thinking about me during those twenty to thirty steps I took each day.
